I've tracked with Nim 3 times since posting. The first time, a snow day, Dec 5, I bobbled the phone and had no video. The snow was melting fast. The track was 15 minutes old and when I laid it was snow. when we ran it, there was liquid under the snow.  There was a large area that was mud and snow when I laid the track, it was a puddle when we ran it. Nim had a lot of trouble with scent in the mud puddle.

Tracking in the snow was vastly interesting. I could "see" what Nim was scenting. I watched him investigate cross tracks, that without snow, I would not have known they were there.

Not a lot to narrate about November 7th tracking. I was pleased to see how well he stayed in the game. He's had trouble with longer tracks, but he hung in.

Today's tack was fascinating. Again, two legs, 100 yards for each leg, 1, 90 L turn; ten shuffle steps, three steps, FD two steps, ten shuffle steps. You will see how he tracked. What fascinated me was when we finished the track, I put him back on his collar and let him wander back to the start flag. There were footsteps in the snow parallel to the track I had laid. Nim clearly wanted to check the track for missed chicken. At one point, he checked out the parallel footsteps, literally shook his head and went back to our old track.
